The sources used for my undergraduate thesis covered many different aspects of Chinese history and my bibliography portrays a variety of source material. Blogs and web forums were used to find many of the primary source material used in the various cases of the Human Flesh Search Engine at work, while I used news articles from China Daily and the New York Times (among others) to show how the internet vigilantism is perceived in the media both at home and abroad. Scholarly articles and published works were mainly used to provide a historical parallelism which I drew between the actions of the present-day Chinese netizens and events of the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
